Now that we have tried out van living for about three months it’s time to make some changes to make our next trip even better.
Our water system consisted of a 5 gallon jug under the sink with a hose stuck in it. We have a pump to pump the water to the sink. It is hard to take out and fill and not that sanitary. So my plan is to put an outside fill hatch and a larger 10 gallon container. I also want to run the sink drain into a container under the van instead of the bucket under the sink that we have now.
We’ve also noticed that a lot of the campgrounds we’ve been at have electrical hookups. This is great for heating, cooking and our other electronics. The problem for us was having extension cords running into the van through the door and tripping over them inside the van. So I want to also make a plug in from an outside hatch and install outlets around the van on the inside.
